I would try finding a full time job BEFORE you move out. Don't touch your savings. Get a credit card, work for 2 years or so. By the time you're 25 you can use your 50k for a down payment. I'd tell you to buy a house as soon as you get a full time job but that's not how banks work.

Boomers don't want us to succeed. My dad had his college paid for by his dad and lived at home until he was 26. His dad told him to pay it forward. He didn't, and kicked me out several times. That's boomers for ya.
