No, Skycoin is not worthless, because holding Skycoin generates the Coin Hours that are used to purchase goods and services in the Skywire ecosystem, such as Skywire bandwidth, computing power, storage, in-app and in-game purchases for games built on Skycoin CX etc.

Nobody wants to spend Bitcoin, especially in a bull market, because it will always be worth more in the future. The Coin Hours mechanism solves this problem through an inflationary parallel currency that is always being generated.There is no disincentive to spend Coin Hours because you'll always get more of them - supply is infinite.

Skycoin is for holding. Coin Hours are for spending.
