I'm also curious. I'm about to be in this situation myself with a small house and car in a pleasant living situation, but also with $25k/yr passive income from the VA. Trying to figure out how to set myself up for success best. So far a realistic path to wealth I've identified is using the VA home loan to buy a quadplex, to live in and rent out the other 3 rooms. What other ways from real estate can this passive income be leveraged?

I do the same. Been drinking a 750mL of whiskey every night for several years. Really terrible for my body but I've been depressed ever since coming back from Iraq. Not willing to kms directly but the liquor is doing its thing.
