Are goldbacks worth it for someone who doesn't live in UT, NV, or NH?

So far I have gathered:
-They are a convenient way to accumulate small, spendable/tradable amounts of gold
-some vendors in Utah, Nevada, and New Hampshire accept them as well as cash (each state has their own Goldback designs but they all have the same weight)
-They are based and badass

Considering the high premium by gold weight, is there any reason I, a WA state resident, should buy some? No vendors here accept them to my knowledge, I just like the idea. I like to think they'd be more usable than 1oz gold coins when comex defaults and fiat collapses
