Ah, good advice. Never a bummer talking with photoanon! I too diversify and avoid debts. Kinda feel like we just won't know how to navigate whatever is unfolding though. Seems like an precedented economic situation. 4 months of expenses seems smart though, and I'd wager enough of a stop gap for me to find another job too. However, if the job market continues to cool, who knows. I used to have recruiters hit me up multiple times a week from good companies. Now it's like once every other week from vary degrees of companies. I also suspect layoffs are on the horizon for companies in NASDAQ, the DOW and S&P...
