You minimize your upward potential. 2000 bucks in dividends is 2000 bucks not gambling on shitty meme stocks, for what is going to be SLOW returns. It just comes down to risk.

I mostly made the calculator to test what level of capital I would need in each stock to have a meaningful compound dividend portfolio. My aim is to have a few reliable bluechips that generate enough in dividends to fund buying another one, until eventually my overhead is large enough that I can live off dividends. This is why I included the "save per 3 months" function, which is absent in most calculators.
