Housing is a massive bubble that is overdue for a massive pop. E.g. I live in Australia and our housing bubble is considered the second biggest in the world; in the third largest city, people are paying up to $350 per week to rent a bedroom -- that is $18,000 per year. Simply: guys at the top recruit people by telling them they can make money doing x if they invest in their product/service (y) and give them a cut of profits. Those people make money doing x by shilling the product to others telling them they can make money by doing y. It's a mathematically impossible model because the market is saturated exponentially because everyone is recruiting everyone to make money. Only those at the top make money. Usually the creators disappear after a while with the loot because everyone has gone bust except for themselves and the scam has been exposed.
