What can you use bitcoin for more usefully than real money?
It seems like everyone here only wants to have bitcoin because they think it will go up in value and they never use it for any purchases or anything else.

Doesn't the fact that everyone only wants to buy and hold onto bitcoin because they think that the price will go up because they think banks and governments will start using bitcoin mean that most people don't use bitcoin for any real purpose which means that there's no real reason for banks or governments to ever use it as more than a minor novelty which means that the price of bitcoin isn't going to go up that much?
I've seen people talk dismissively saying things like "bit coin doesn't need to be able to purchase your starbucks or groceries. you don't use your savings account for your lunchmoney!" and talk about second layer solutions, but wouldn't it be the second layer that you can actually purchase most things with that would be truly valuable and useful as a currency?

Brainlet newb questions here. If I've bought in and am prepared to wait for about 2 years for another bubble, is it good for me or bad for me if people panic about the price not going back up quickly ?

Also, should I be worried if bitcoin takes more than say another 6 months to reach the bottom? With previous bubbles, the correction only took 6 months-1 year to reach the bottom then it's sideways for another 6 months-1year before it starts ramping up.

It's been 8-9 months since the last bubble and we still haven't hit the bottom, so if in another 6 months we're here and bitcoin has just hit a new low, would that be a cause for concern ?
What non-worrying reasons could there be for this popping phase to last longer than the last couple?

Also, if after the bubble, the price bottoms out at a lower % of the bubble's all time high than previous bubbles, is that a cause for concern?
For example , last time the bitcoin bubble reached 1000 per coin then the bubble burst down to around 200. this time the bubble went up to 19K so if the price bottoms out significantly lower than say 3.5 K, or even goes down to like 1.5 or 1K , that would be a serious cause for concern right? like it would seriously all be fucked and never coming back, right?
