I have no opinions on ABNB stock itself...not sure how their equity valuation is. But are Americans really being ultra-doomerish about the Airbnb rental market? That seems stupid to me, because even is home prices and rental rates go down, people will ALWAYS want to use a home over a hotel. I don't mean everyone will use home over hotel, but I am saying that there are so many more amenities in Airbnbs versus in hotels.

I am willing to pay more for an Airbnb instead of a hotel if I am going to a destination, such as the countryside. Why would I pay for some stupid hotel when I'm driving to the Himalayas or Darjeeling or something? I actually had to make the decision of whether to pay for this Airbnb in Darjeeling for 3,000 rupees / night or some crappy cramped up hotel for 2,000/night

I took the Airbnb in a heartbeat. Pic related is the property in Darjeeling, there's a beautiful walkway and garden too. People who travel in groups don't want to stay in a small hotel, they want to stretch their legs and drink whiskey after a long day of traveling / hiking / walking. While it is true that American hotels are better than Indian hotels, I still feel like this logic applies to American Airbnb markets
