what i still can't figure out is whether Clayton was in on it (working with Ripple behind the scenes) and is merely acting as the heel/villainous bad guy to make the US appear to be weak and lagging behind China (similar to the imo fake rivalry between Jed/Stellar and Ripple), or if Clayton is actually compromised/an agent of Goldman Sachs/the Cabal/the CCP/Hydra/whoever.

To be honest to me it looks like they are all working together and the conflicts are being stage-managed like some kind of weird geopolitical world-financial-system soap opera but, once again, you'd have to be really schizophrenic to think that was true. That's absolutely nuts. This is the world economy we're talking about! To think that these men would be elaborately playacting when it's all been decided in advance by some shadowly group of ultra-powerful financial white-hat geniuses...that's crazy talk.
