Evening Frens. So we got the CPI numbers today and they say 9.1%. Anyone who actually has to budget their money knows that the CPI is a dog-and-pony show though. It doesn't include housing, citing that they are an investment vehicle. So if you rent then you're not acknowledged as existing. Rentoids indeed.

We are /biz/ though. If the CPI does not include housing then use that as an indicator to buy land. Not housing. Land. Houses are big, immobile cars. Land is what is finite. Real estate keeps up with inflation on a historical basis. Some might see that as rent-seeking but I see it as playing the game by the rules set by TPTB. Maybe we can change the game but until then we'll show them how we play.

Evening Frens. The shills think they have a silver bullet for the GME play because of the FINRA report. Ridiculous. This is a report of what happened a year ago. It's not a report of what is going on right now. The SEC passed new rules. Hedge funds that were short GME a year ago who said that they closed their positions are bleeding money and some close down entirely. The DTCC waived collateral requirements but what will they do when the shareholder approved dividend split finally happens? What will they do if the entire float is DRSed? The case to DRS is stronger than ever now.

Evening Frens. Between encoded poop and ice cream cone emotions tweets RC has been a vocal critic of them in less coded language. People never handle money and possessions better than when it's their own. "Heads they win, tails you lose" does not refer to them getting away Scott free. It refers to hedge funds and financial institutions profiting off of investors' money through annual management fees, taking their cut of any capital gains, and having access to complex financial instruments that they use to secure their own accumulated profits while putting investor money at risk.
