Hey /biz/, I never really lurk here so Im not sure if you guys are a nice bunch but please spare me.

I am currently a college freshman and I am indecisive on my major. I am currently doing marketing but have heard nothing good about degrees in marketing. I hear the job prospects are shit which I believe because my mother has employees working under her with marketing degrees making like $17/hr. My question is, how are economics degrees? I like the idea of the social science behind it and studying human behavior patterns. I think I would really like it but I don't want to be stuck with a desk job, that pays shit. Any advice?
