I had a similar experience with Primerica. I was introduced into it by an older gentleman at my gym. At the time, I was laid off from another job so I decided to check it out. Their whole building was basically a class room setting and 3-4 guys running amok. What irked me was that the recruiters and the owner talked about how amazing Primerica was and how successful it was; but they couldn't even tell me what the job duties were.

Another thing that also irked me was that one of the recruiters once owned a trucking business before he decided to do this. Why is it that someone like him be in the insurance business? It was most likely that his failed and he ended up being an office lackey. I sat down thru an hour or their presentation and bailed when they wanted me to sign up immediately.

It was a terrible experience having these people along with other insurance sharks duping people in believing that they'll be successful if they signed up.
