Also, obligatory,

And you I used these links to set up my node:

https://medium.com/@devlin.trace/chainlink-alpha-node-in-aws-a-beginners-guide-in-progress-c498fc9d44ab
https://medium.com/chainlink/running-a-chainlink-node-for-the-first-time-4988518c95d2
https://docs.chain.link/docs/running-a-chainlink-node

The first link is outdated and can't work following ad verbatim, but I still used it to get halfway and install certain packages (you gotta update them all) before switching to the main chainlink guide. I could use the main link guide but having pictures that show me what I'm supposed to be seeing lends a little more confidence.

As linklet node operators, what are your plans for obtaining premium and niche data sources?

Was redpilled hard by statueanon and have since been looking into node operation, but so far the idea of some neets negotiating for a special deal with a company like https://flightaware.com/commercial/flightxml/ is fucking laughable, they'd just flat out ignore your emails unless you're a whale with multiple nodes

Can linklet node operators form a group and negotiate with these cunts under the name of group? There's so much talk about 'decentralization' but so far it all feels like superficial bullshit - this isn't friendly to small-time operators AT ALL.

Paging StatueAnon, teach us the ways to hunt to negotiate with API providers and their pricing models.

Indeed, thank you >>13383872
OP. I've been worried about the lack of general in the couple days it was down. Though it could stand to have a less risque thumbnail for the start

In addition to learning how to run the node, the other things we gotta learn are

> API pricing
> Gaining visibility for your node
> Industries for target to base your oracle services

The last one, I assume we're on our own for that one since we each need to find our own niche.
