I will continue to leech from the British state as much as possible and use the resources of others to benefit myself. Do I have moral quandaries about this? Of course I do. I don't want to use other peoples hard earned money to enrich myself but I know other people DO want to do this. Therefore I must do it out of necessity.
If there is no support system for young people gaining meaningful employment then I have no choice but to leech from the state. If having a degree that is now considered useless because of happenstance means that I can no longer work in my field and make enough money to sustain myself, then there is nothing I can do about that.
A society cannot tell its young people that they can study whatever they want and then when that child's degree is useless tell them that they aren't working hard enough. I was told by my work coach in school that I should study what ever I was good at and I did so. Is it their fault I therefore cannot get a job? Maybe. Is it my fault for being a 16 year old making life decisions that would affect me decades later? I'm not so sure about that.
Not to mention how much more specialised I need to become in order to get a chance at a decent job. I can't do that if I'm working minimum wage.
Someone is to blame and it ain't zoomers.

I wasn't in the last thread but you're right. If you need to acquire a ridiculous amount of wealth to be truly self sufficient then yes the "american dream" doesn't exist anymore. The original british settlers managed to forge a nation on a fraction of the resources it requires these days. Not to mention they worked together as a community of individuals to bring this to fruitition. Everyone worked together and helped eachother.
Nowadays in western countries its every man for himself whilst also needing to participate in a system that hates you and sucks the money out your arse every day with hyperinflation. Not at all like the original american dream.

You are right, I got my bank job because I set my religion to Jewish. Not kidding around here. I done it as a meme because the job wasn't something I thought I was skilled enough for and I managed to get it.
What was interesting was, in the building there were lots of women, ethnics and people with strange disabilities. There was even a dude with some skin disease and a girl with Waardenburg Syndrome which is a 1 in a million disease. There she was at my workplace, funny how that works.
The job was scummy as fuck too, lots of weird shit going on at that place, wouldnt be surprised if it was a money laundering scheme.
I felt like Truman when he accidentally goes into the building and sees the camera crew and stuff, I was not supposed to be there at all and I think thats why they laid me off.
