True, but imagine you can make holographic skype with a panoptic camera like a Lytro - you can conference with people appearing as holograms in the same room with you. So it's not technically adult content but what people do in the metaverse is nobody's business. I bet some boomer will pay for some whores to piss on him from above and see them as voxels.

The heaviest object needs to be placed at the back, below the base of the skull, say the battery. Even if there is no battery the counterweight will make it feel more ergonomic. Your head naturally leans forward because of weight distribution, with a HMD you shouldn't add to the problem.

If you need to have a tether, that's a far better way of distributing the weight. They could have offloaded the battery and computer and speakers to the neck pillow, making the HMD closer to normal glasses.
IMHO the Apple HMD should be just an external display for your phone that maybe has its own 18650 battery at the back as ballast (so it doesn't drain the phone). So you can keep buying new phones but keep the HMD like your old charger.
