Honestly, it doesn't matter either way very much. As a white person you will be ostracized and treated differently, no matter your Chinese ability

It depends. If you're a young something white male looking for beautiful women and a potential tradwife, I highly recommend it. If you're older and already have started a family, probably not.

I work as an English teacher. I came in 2019 with a company called EF which was a decent entry-level job. Low pay but also only part-time work. There are tons of cute and sexy female coworkers in education...it's dating on EZ mode. Currently I work at an international school making $55k a year with 3 months paid vacation (and rent is only $6k for the whole year), but it's a lot of work during the school year. My plan now is to return to the US and do finance, hoping for more job satisfaction and better upward mobility.

Yeah, I haven't been back since pre-COVID and I'm hoping it's not the tranny, BLM, rampant homelessness, hyper-expensive shithole I only see on the news. If it's really awful I may return to China and just suck it up as a teacher.
