This is pure larp. The man doesn't know how to use that bow at all, probably borrowed it. Has never shot it before.

Regarding holding upside down and lack of release aid:
-on the lower half of the string you will see a second piece of material that looks like a loop. This is rubber tubing used to align the peep site on these older compound bows. That is supposed to be on the upper half of the string as it's the part you align your eye with to aim down the sight.
>speaking of the sight, note that it is below his left hand. Held upright it would be above left hand.
>directly above his left hand, what may look like an arrow shelf at casual glance is in fact the grip, where his left hand should be if he were holding the bow right way up and correctly.
-this is a short compound bow with an axle to axle measurement probably somewhere around 32"-35". Compound bows this short cannot be shot without a mechanical release aid in the right hand as the angle of the string at full draw does not allow space for fingers.
