Should I get out of my i-bonds in January? I'll have made $704 over 15 months, that's decent enough for fixed income. I'm tempted to just keep holding. new rate is 3.97%. Since I Have to take a 3 month interest penalty when I sell, optimal time to sell is in January for me. But they are state tax exempt, and seems a bit silly to go through the hassle of selling them to drop into something that's effectively only slightly worse than the 5% HYSAs I'm seeing around (and I struggle to trust anyways)
