I still have a tiny bit of HOT sitting somewhere. I remember thinking it could be a moonshot because of the extremely low supply and it had a cool logo that maybe normies would like. After the rope incident, I was still up in ETH so I took all my ETH out of it I put into it and kept some HOT.
Looking back it is amazing how far this project has fallen. I did have fun memeing with /biz/ on this coin though.

The dream is over guys. I loved this coin. It seemed like it could have been one of the most epic moon missions of all time. I really thought that more normie money would come in during late 2018 or mid 2019. Instead, only mainstream coins with real adoption did crazy pumps during this time. Stuff with real partnerships like LINK lead the pack.

I see no reason to hold this instead of ETH. The whole point of buying a bag of HOT was to hedge against ETH a little bit, as you only needed a small bag if it got adoption. At this point though, it seems that no large company/industry is planning on using anything but ETH. The development is really picking up.

HOT on the other hand, just announced they are cutting back their staff. This would make sense if the product was finished, but it seems to be nowhere near done. There is still no plans for even a token swap and they are cutting back on staff. It sucks they are running out of money, but I'm not sticking around in that scenario.

Also the woman who works for HOLO who had her personal life exposed is the least of my concerns. If the project was actually good, it wouldn't be an issue with me. However, the project seems to be terrible and going nowhere. Having to let go of staff before the launch is a bad sign. If you cut staff after the product was fully built and launched, it is understandable... But this is just really bad.

IMO, I wouldn't be surprised if someone on the team leaked the pics to distract from all the other failings of this project. ETH looks much more promising for the next 1.5 - 2 years in terms of ROI.

HOLO will do everything ETH will do but better due to the lack of a global consensus mechanism. Without the need for universal consensus,this post-blockchain tech will be able to scale pretty much infinitely whereas ETH gets crashed by cryptokitties. When Holochain goes live, it will kill ETH.

The only one of those I would equate to HOLOCHAIN is IOTA. Both are a totally new take on "blockchain" (neither are actually blockchain, but a system that is similar). Neither really has anything else like it in the space. Would not be surprised at all if HOT doesn't end up working it still ends up in the top 5. If it actually works its bigger than bitcoin's current mcap.

LINK and HOT are my two biggest holdings. I think that HOT has more potential to do a 1000x at this point though. Holochain can do a huge pump if it gets listed on some normie platforms. The low price will get normies to buy it even if it is up 100x. It could be the next TRX.
