So I'd draw a few conclusions.

-Sex and relationships are both being sold as a Veblen good by both parties
-A large minority of men are priced out of sex and a plurality of women are priced out of relationships
-Sex and relationships have an exchange rate, but it isn't 1:1
-More women are priced out of relationships than men are priced out of sex
-Women are much more strongly motivated buyers of relationships than men are strongly motivated buyers of sex

The most likely outcome is that the price of sex eventually crashes. Men are not under pressure to capitulate to the same degree that women are. Here are some things I speculate will happen or have already happened.

-Giffen or inferior goods that are indirect competitors have already entered the sex market. Vtubers, onlyfans, pornography, elaborate sex toys etc. Is it as good as the real thing? Fuck no. But it momentarily satiates the demand for sex for those who can't afford it at the current high prices. I think that these are giffen goods rather than simple inferior goods.
-There is few giffen good variation that supplies the same thing that a relationship provides, outside of things like Host Clubs in Japan. There will be a small boom for gigolos and hot young guys looking for a sugar mommy to spoil them, but not nearly to the same extent as the giffen goods for the sex market has taken off.

I really just don't see a scenario where the price of sex doesn't crash, but I also don't see a scenario where the price of relationships doesn't remain high. Hoeflation really isn't the problem here, it's a leading indicator of a set of problems that are all likely to come to a head at once with disastrous social consequences.
