Women give birth to children and are therefore essential to the survival of your genes (assuming it's actually your kid), which so far seems to be the main point of life as we know it.

Ironically, your only goal is also to help your genes survive & spread, either through quantity or quality approaches, or both.

You just have different responsibilites as part of that process.

Every single thing you do (sleep, eat, work) ensures that 1) You don't die. 2) You impregnate a girl & she gives birth. 3) Your offspring also don't die (at the very least), and maybe have higher odds/better conditions at procreating.
