I think this whole system is a sham, but it's really the only thing to do, politically speaking anyways, in this situation. The dollar is too strong. It's a safe-haven asset currently, so they need to devalue it. Other countries are fucking up their currencies, so the US really has to follow suit. Otherwise other assets get wrecked and so do exports. That would genuinely hurt a lot of people. We should go to some hard-asset backed currency, but that's not going to happen sorry. The only advice I can give is to put your savings in a hard asset. If you are young, this game will eventually end and you don't want to be holding dollars. It doesn't look like this is a true happening though.
