PIC is dead within 5 years, unprofitable withing 1 year of merger. Hear me out.

XL relies on the fact that trucks arent available in electric form yet, and caters to companies that are either required to increase MPG or that want an eco sales gimmick. Ford has already announced its electric f150, destroying the MASSIVE MAJORITY of fleet vehicle opportunities available. Fleet owners will just wait for OEM electric, rather than try their luck with some overpriced conversion. F150s, and Ford in general, make up an estimated 75% of all fleet vehicles.

When Ford moves, GM follows. Time and time again, GM builds a competing product when ford advances it offerings. GM has already partnered with the shitshow that is Nikola, which is likely to be a fruitless venture, but proves GM acknowledges the importance of going electric. In other words, Ford and GM will be unavailable to XL.

Problem 2: Fleet vehicles are boring for good reason. Installing aftermarket parts causes warranty issues and headache. Multiply that times 250 and modifying a fleet makes very little sense, especially when requirements for electric vehicles and efficiently laws are hardly a nuisance this year in 99% of the USA.

Problem 3: They havent even hinted at creating electric vehicles. They dont even see their own demise coming. Blindly, they rush into a toilet swirl of a market with no future, no plans, limited profitability, and they still advertise as 'an electric car company.' They dont even fully convert vehicles to electric, they build psuedo hybrids. The biggest scam if this year is nikola, the biggest scam next year will be PIC. watch any given youtube video about them, not a single person that talks about them understands XL Fleet, referring to them as an 'electric car company. ' this is so far from the truth its not even funny. PIC is DOA.
