The real problem is that Karp blatantly hates public shareholders and wants to show it. He's always talking about how going public is bad because people who "don't get you" get to have a voice. He made the company such that he rules it no matter what shareholders want, and he made his vacation in such a way to poo on outsiders who only know about inner working of company from earnings calls
