many /b/ threads and some ventrillo rooms, and yes, it was entirely done by various crowdsourced anons

the promise to make money from working at home, no experience required (also the excitement of working on a real videogame!!!) was a good lesson for how reality works looking back on it

and yes, i dont think notch did much of anything besides core concept, then manage others who made his dream a reality

he couldnt even make the random seed generator on his own, he just wanted "millions of different possible worlds"

he did nothing besides be glorified manager to a bunch of overzealous autists (he had a good original idea, but he was pants on head retarded when it came to actually doing anything on a computer, he couldnt even make a simple flash game)

/b/ wass full of threads both made by him, and full of people raging against him, for a good few months

I'm just glad i didnt try working on it for more than a day, someone in school with me got fired because he was coding for notch while he was supposed to be working (topkek)

you really shouldnt underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups
and blind enthusiasm for an idea, even when there is dozens of red flags popping up
