What? There is not a soul out there that does not like commodities. Sure, I have lots of gold and oil/gas but that's through exposure to stocks (Lundin Gold which is doing very well, Lundin Mining, Exxon, and so on) but come on. Ever since 2009, it has been obvious that the correct play in the market is tech. And unless you bought during Covid, the gains are pretty pathetic.
Adjusted for inflation, all the major commodities are underperforming and quite severely. Copper is just terrible (basically unprofitable at this level yet it remains in this quagmire), oil is too cheap, silver is pathetic, gold has been performing better than expected (relative to how strong the dollar is).
Commodities are unpredictable and depend too strongly on the current market mood whereas you can just park your money into the big mega caps and make consistent gains every year. But yeah, making money is apparently retarded
