Be honest with yourself. Start with small bit of money, if you lose it over and over and continue rebuying, you might just not be right for this.

You say it "seems hard to go wrong" but a huge number of people lose every penny. I'd say in fact more lose compared to those who don't. The stories you see advertised online (sites like this and reddit, etc.) disproportionately highlight the success stories. Plus people lie, a lot.
