they falsely believe it will make them more money in the long run. the smart companies do "token" things for the minorities like amazon having a black square on their website for awhile for the george floyd whatever crap. or WotC literally deleting "racist" cards from their gatherer website. things that make it look like they "stand with them" but really it costs them nothing and keeps the chimps from wrecking their businesses.

the bad businesses like INTC go full retard and actually go way too far and it ends up destroying their business, like comic books constantly trying to put more diversity and fags in their works like making spider man black or making wolverine gay. vast majority of the population doesn't actually want politically correct shit.

basically the Goodyear thing is an example of companies who are supposed to just give a token show of good faith, instead taking it too far. a good example of what they're supposed to do is putting a black square on their website for awhile or MTG erasing some cards from history via taking them off of their gatherer card search website. things that don't actually do anything meaningful or cost any money, but that are good enough to avoid getting chimped out on.
