Do precious metal faggots actually think gold and silver are gonna make them rich? The only time the shit is going to the moom is when our currency fails. So yeah, gold might be worth $50k an ounce one day, but you're not gonna be able to buy a house for 4 ounces of gold because that house will now be worth $10 million or whatever.

Also good luck smuggling it out of the country or whatever. I'm sure Chaim will give you a fair deal for your stash.

>muh frivolous spending

Yeah, sure, but our modern economy and work force has been built up around frivolous spending. All the dog walkers, VR cafe attendants, the endless sea of restaurant staff. All these people have jobs thanks to the spending habits of Americans.

And so you come to the realization that our big ass cities with all our modern conveniences is only achievable in capitalism when combined with frivolous spending. If we were being smart and saving, then more people would be working in the core economy, there would be more public transportation, people would live closer to where their food is grown and we wouldn't have as many choices in luxury goods to throw our discretionary spending toward.

We're also in the perfect position to get fucked by a downturn. If everyone decides to start saving then retail is gonna get fucked. Commercial property is gonna get fucked. All the people whose jobs rely on frivolous spending are gonna get fucked. With all the unemployed and broke assholes out in the street (over 30% unemployment in my opinion), then the government will have to transition to a new economic system because you can't expect 30% of people to just starve and die without putting up a fight, and this transition won't be smooth and society will break.

Just my thoughts.
