I have a ~$150k salary WFH job (software engineer), so I do nothing.

Okay, technically I SSH into a machine and reboot Apache once in a while. And maybe attend a few webex meetings per week (camera off of course, because I'm officially "not comfortable" with it on lol)

I'm also an admin on our Slack, so sometimes for fun I peruse some of the private group channels to see what people are up to. The middle manager and "office administrator" types are shitting their extra wide wing tampons because they're being laid off left and right.

I make $150k and I literally don't do shit now lol. I'm a dev in charge of some critical systems that nobody else knows about and everyone thinks I'm some sort of computer god. It's so easy to make it look like I'm working super hard when in reality I maybe put in an hour of work a day

All the good parts of a comfy office programmer job, without having to go into an office and mingle with normies

I personally think Biden winning is actually bearish for cannastocks, if that's what you're betting on, but I wish you luck. Decriminalization isn't legalization, and doesn't really change anything for the industry desu. It also puts Democrats in a position where they can say they gave cannabis a "win" just so their constituents stop fucking bothering them about it and they can continue to ignore the issue for a few more terms. Giving it decriminalization status is a step back.

Fucking based, same here. I'm a $140k sftw engr, even when I was in the office I'd probably do like an hour's worth of work spread across the day and rest of the time reading manga or shitposting on 4channel.org.

But now that everybody's WFH I do even less because nobody is coming to my desk randomly to ask questions. My daily standups are at around 10 AM so I just sleep in every day, and I usually don't have meetings after 2 PM. Sitting here watching anime or playing vidya on the company dime feels fucking great.

I just have the company Slack open on the side and once in a while I get a ping. That's basically the bulk of my work now lol

All the good parts about an office job without the bad parts like actually having to go into an office and interact with normies

lol my company (NXGN) just suspended all merit increases for the year and also suspended 401k matching. Probably pay cuts, furloughs, and layoffs are next
