I have a public key to receive bitcoin for my personal wallet and for a wallet on the exchange. I want to receive about $200 for selling some virtual goods in bitcoin. I then want to cash it out for $ which I was planning on doing on coinbase. I was planning on having them send the bitcoin directly to my coinbase wallet. Is this a mistake? Should I instead have them send it to my personal wallet and move it to coinbase myself to sell it?

Coinbase fees have gotten way out of hand. Gemini is ridiculous too. I'm looking at lesser known ones like Lykka and Shapeshift. I'd do Kraken but they only take wire transfers. Any suggestions?

My recommendation is to build credit before taking out a loan. Yes its good you have no bad history, but you have no history at all. You have the advantage of not having bullshit already on your credit report.

I would recommend simply getting a credit card and paying it off on time. You might not have to start with a secured card, check to see if you can get a discover it or chase or something better. Just pay it off on time or multiple times a month and you'll basically be building credit as you go about life. So when it comes time to get a loan or a job or etc you will have a good credit history.
