even then the tension is so insane science nerds jack off to "muh carbon nanotubes". Even if those work, to move mass up you either need a counterweight or propulsion. the counterweight wont fall since its in orbit. and even if it did, the ride time wouldn't be any better than propulsion which we might as well just use a rocket.

The true mark of how middle class is how much their primary residence takes up most of their wealth. Say if your primary residence accounts for 60 to 80 percent of your wealth. You are most likely middle class and not super wealthy. There are exceptions though.
