Initial supply was 1,337,000,000 but half of that is being burned. Once the dev goes through with that, the plan is to pursue listings. Right now we are accumulating.

This coin was made by Monerochads.
Half of the Monero community is supportive, the other half thinks it is a scam. It's all good though. The marketing from this has already paid dividends ($MONEROCHAN was launched this weekend, and Monero finally started pumping lol).
What's cool though is there is work on building a front end for the XMR<->ETH Atomic swaps, using $MONEROCHAN as the token you can swap into. So while this might be a dumb memecoin, it will have its use to get people to start using both ETH and Monero.

go to uniswap, find MONEROCHAN, and swap your ETH for it.

You are wrong though about other usecases, such as perserving purchasing power over time, anti censorship, and privacy, which are concepts that are proving to become more and more desirable overtime because of the dystopian cypherpunk hellhole we are heading towards.
