I think the confusion for most is when it comes to the various strategies and when identifying the best setups to implement said advanced strategies say vs. naked calls and puts. Which can really cripple a new trader.

The best way I put it to newfriends is call is betting the stock is going to go up to or surpass the given strike. From a marked price you can see on your broker of how much money is assigned in premium per share of 100 units per contract.

Put is the exact inverse of that. Pretty simple.
