Are black markets, tax evasion and money laundering mainstream?

>Exactly monero isn't accepted anywhere in US except black markets where most you can buy with it is some overpriced crack. Admit it your crab coin nothing more than a laundromat for criminals to convert their funds into something useful

Shadow economy is worth TRILLIONS of USD. Do the math.

>Digibyte was supposed to hit 10k last year according to the Experts

Not all "experts" are created equal. And not all predictions are founded in good reasoning.

The Satis Group projection might be off on their ballpark timeline but their estimation that criminal adoption will be the primary driver of XMR price in future is spot-on, which suggests they'll be right in the long-run.

As mentioned, black markets, tax evasion and money laundering are the Big 3 fin-crime sectors Monero is set to dominate. As long as it continues being the best privacy protocol around it will prove a very lucrative investment with time.

>When did this come out? Looks like they are massively off already

2018 Satis Group report. Timelines are notoriously fickle but their general reasoning is spot-on i.e. that criminal adoption of Monero is going to be be the primary driver of growth over the next 10 years.

If you're prepared to sit and wait patiently for Monero's moon mission then XMR makes a solid long-term investment.

Consider the following:

>daily TX keeping hitting ATH

>darknet adoption steadily rising

>atomic swaps on the way

>Bitcoin address blacklist keeps growing courtesy of the US Treasury

>major crime syndicates are moving into crypto

>global shadow economy is worth trillions of USD

As for all the FUD: Monero is the only coin that gets serious props and endorsement on r/darknet, not Bitcoin, not Zcash, not Dash, not Turtlecoin, not 0xMonero, the people on there literally have their freedom on the line so you can be sure they know their shit, if any of those coins were actually better than Monero you'd see them being recommended and used.

In other words, if r/darknet ain't recommending it, its a shitcoin.

Everywhere?

>and xmr.to banned

Not sure if retarded.

>its utility is sinking pretty heavily for non blackmarket uses.

The shadow economy is worth trillions of USD. And now the major players are moving into crypto. Do the math.

>If the bubble truly pops then XMR will go back down to $25 levels. It will never reach $100 again from that point.

As the only coin with a clear utilitarian future i.e. black markets, tax evasion, money laundering, I highly doubt that.

>Here's my thinking. The powers that be don't like Monero, and will eventually ban exchanges from listing it and people from using them on stores.

Big deal. Atomic swaps.

>But, isn't XMR the primary means of payment right now on the darknet?

Not yet but well on its way to displacing Bitcoin entirely.

>Meaning, the current price already reflects the value it holds in that community, plus an extra of interested investors.

The current crypto market is a massive speculative bubble being fueled by the get-rich-quick fantasies of greedy plebs, price is therefore a useless indicator of true value.

>Once it gets banned, investors will sell,

Why would they sell? XMR won't get banned for being useless, it'll get banned for working too well. And when something is that effective, it drives demand up. And when you couple demand with scarcity, the price goes up.

>and it will only be held and used for the darknet

The darknet markets are small potatoes in comparison to the capital sloshing around in the offshore, tax evasion and money laundering sectors. The global shadow economy is valued in the TRILLIONS of dollars and those folks fucking covet reliable transactional privacy above all else.

Now just sit back and think about that for a minute.

Regardless of current price or MC ranking, fundamentals still solid as fuck.

>daily transactions keep rising

>darknet adoption keeps increasing

>atomic swaps on the way

>major crime syndicates are moving into crypto

>rouge states are turning to crypto to evade sanctions

The hodlers with enough foresight to see where all this is headed will do very well for themselves some years from now.

Who else is comfy?

>daily TX keep rising

>darknet adoption keeps increasing

>atomic swaps on the way

>major crime syndicates are moving into crypto

Those of you that can connect dots can see where this is headed.

Atomic swaps will neutralize any regulatory suppression while black money assets and offshore capital are going to be pouring into crypto en masse over the next decade.

Monero is a no-brainer if you have enough of an IQ to see the benefits of delayed gratification.

>Well this literally means buying xmr more or less directly promotes criminality. You don't want this anon, do you?

Criminal use of crypto in general and Monero in particular will happen regardless of whether normies are buying it or not. Superior tech gets utilized.

>And if you only care about money, there are so many projects that are guaranteed to go up by greater order of magnitude.

There is no "guaranteed" in crypto, only degrees of probability. And its a pretty reasonable bet that the crypto that best assists black markets, tax evaders and money launderers do their thing also has the best chance of having its marketcap swell up by orders of magnitude over the long-term.

In that sense, Monero is the closest thing that you can get to a sure thing in crypto right now.

Likely a little more than a couple of years but yeah, just need to let the black markets, tax evaders and money launderers do their thing and we should eventually see some epic gains.
