I think the most underrated aspect of Proof of Work besides its superior ability to secure the network is the fact that you can transfer energy an order of magnitude faster than before from anywhere on the globe with internet access. Remote locations with rivers and volcanoes are able to be harvested for economic energy on the opposite side of the planet in near real time. The usual suspects are the ones who spin the narrative against PoW because it threatens their control of humanity.

It's very profitable if you don't have to pay for hardware or electricity. I go to a tech school and i managed to rig the computers to mine xmr during non-use hours. They haven't noticed yet. Only 10 computers so far, haven't gotten the chance to rig any of the other ones yet.
