Yes. Pic related is the result of me receiving 20k in inheritance while working a middle-income job and "investing" in literallywho penny-stocks, retard options, and meme stonks, from 2017 through... I think this screenshot was mid-2022. AKA one of the most unprecedented periods of economic growth in American history. At least in terms of asset-price growth. Dumping it into ETFs could have bought me a house. Also, I sold TSLA in the first week of October 2019, for something like a 2% gain so I could waste the money elsewhere rather than the 12x it experienced over the next like, three months. In this same period I worked a dead-end job for 5 years through my early 20's, and basically left it with less money than I had when I started. I BECAME a paycheck-to-paycheck laborer driving a 15-year-old moneypit of a beater. An advanced degree in poetry would have literally been a wiser investment of time and money than anything I actually did with my life across those same years.
