For those of you that don’t know, Ambrosus is combining high-tech sensors, blockchain protocol and smart contracts. They are building a universally verifiable, community-driven ecosystem to assure the quality, safety & origins of products (primarily food and pharma). Ambrosus successfully raised funds and completed its Token Generation Event (ICO) about 2 months ago.

Ambrosus AMA w/ CEO Angel Versetti

I combed through the AMA and for those that haven’t read it here is a list of the BIG takeaways IMO:

-Ambrosus current marketcap is: $46M meanwhile Ambrosus raised 109,500 Eth 2 months ago worth $75M today. Therefore trading for less than their book value.

-Ambrosus is NOT A SECURITY and FOLLOWED ALL THE RULES allowing them to be 100% onside with regulations and allowing them to form MAJOR partnerships that otherwise couldn’t happen. People criticized Ambrosus for their TGE (Kyc’ing every single Ether) but now it’s seen as a competitive advantage. Compliance provides an advantage to Ambrosus to get the right partners on board (established corporates, banking partners, governmental and public institutions). Other Swiss ICO’s have yet to announce partnerships most likely because they are not FINMA compliant (Swiss version of SEC). So yes, this is super important because Ambrosus now has first-mover advantage specifically because they DID the proper compliance legwork earlier during Ambrosus TGE.

-Ambrosus is primarily working with producers / manufacturers in food & pharma:

-Talking/seat at the table with with Migros (Huge Swiss Grocery Store: 160 million customers & 1,156 stores, 8th largest Swiss Business and 40B+ Annual revenue)

-Talking/seat at the table with Nestlé (Largest food company in the world, 335,000 employees, $90B+ revenue) Ambrosus has some feedback that Nestlé may be more interested in working with them over IBM.

Hey everyone, I thought it might be useful to compile a list of the publicly known/potential partnerships that Ambrosus has so we can keep track of developments. Angel mentioned that Ambrosus has over 20 NDAs currently and I’ve listed the profiles of the ones he’s mentioned at the bottom. Let me know if I’ve missed anything and I’ll add it to the list, or if I’ve got any of the details wrong.
Partnerships (in no particular order):
Nestle – Preliminary talks on pilot projects; Global R&D Programme Leader (Dr. Fabiola Dionisi) is Scientific Advisor to Ambrosus
INS Ecosystem – Ambrosus to record INS quality assurance data and establish joint pilot projects
Trek Therapeutics – Ambrosus to integrate into drug manufacturing process in Trek’s clinical development program
Swiss Canton of Vaud Government – Funding of Ambrosus development
Ecole Polytechnique Federale De Lausanne (EPFL) – Technology support and management (Stefan Meyer, Vlad Trifa, Esther Amstad, Prof. Jean-Paul Sandoz, Prof. Sandro Carrara)
Parity – Core Technology Partner (Gavin Wood, Jutta Steiner)
Wachsman PR – Public relations advisor to Ambrosus
United Nations – Partner to the UN 10YFP Sustainable Food Systems Programme with proposed pilot project
Bitquant Research Laboratories – Pilot Project already established and CSO (Dr. Joseph Wang) is Ambrosus Project Manager
Lyons Communications – Communications advisor to Ambrosus
Kenetic Capital – Project Funding; Managing Partner (Jehan Chu) is Ambrosus Strategic Advisor
LDJ Capital – Project Funding; President (David Drake) is Ambrosus Strategic Advisor
Wageni Technologies – Pilot Project (w/ Bitquant Laboratories) already established
EIT Food & Swiss Quality and Safety Association – Official endorsement
