Well, the thing is that Lagarde and her buffoons are stoking their egos because they managed to bring inflation down with low rates... or at least that's how it looks. A significant factor was the high energy prices because we europoors are idiots, and now that the energy problem is "largely fixed", of course inflation went down. So those idiots think to themselves "huh, maybe these low rates really are sufficient and we can clap ourselves on the back and suck ourselves off". The service and food inflation (among other things but these are the most important) are insanely sticky and will not be going down anytime soon, not unless they start hiking above 4%...
I have a legit question. What do these "economists" like Lagarde even do all day? Do they look at the graphs once a year and call it a day? How do they not see a 10%+ inflation? How are they so slow to react? Why not react faster and nip this shit in the bud? I literally do not understand what they even do at their jobs?
