People do stuff for money, because other people do stuff for money.
This translates into, I do what you tell me (for money) because I need/want to tell others what to do also. As in Ecclesiastes, "for whom do you labour? Thier mouths [hunger] drive them on."
What this means is that "work" can basically be divided up into slavery and/or giving. Real work is a gift. Serving a good master however is good also, if they are truely good.
