Insider here: the team had a huge fight after ethdenver. Thomas and Steve left the project and Sergey can't code so that why there's been no progress lately. Rory tried to deflect attention by calling a screaming match a "team meeting" in the telegram and the community leaders have been deleting posts that contradict the official story.

Sergey tried his best to restore calm but in the heat of the moment some awful things were said. Basically Thomas wanted to wait until more audits were completed but Steve was trying to force an early release by cutting corners.

Chainlink will now fork into chainlink TV ( Thomas's Vision) and chainlink SV (Steve's Vision). Chainlink original sgv (Sergey's Vision) is dead in the water. Token swaps will not happen but coinbase has already agreed to side with chainlink Thomas's Vision.

when cashing out about 5 to 10% of my stack is worth more than me working at my current job for about 3-4 years, after tax, then i might cash some out.

the idea is, by the time link is that expensive and it can give me a multi year vacation by cashing out a part of my stack, hopefully by the end of that vacation its price will be even higher. i really want to stop wage cucking as early as possible.

ideally ill never touch about 80-85% of my stack just to see if it becomes an industry standard and if having $1 in a link token is worth more than having $1 in a fiat currency for example. maybe link will have additional functionalities some day day and having a stack will allow you to make money off of staking even if you don't have a mega-node amount. like maybe there will be smart contracts that are backed by the LINK team that allow you to rent out some of your linkies to trusted node operators and earn some link tokens off of that. i dont know what else they'll invent but i think there will be some surprises in the coming years so its probably best to sell as late as possible and maybe never because sergey once joked that his hope is LINK becomes an industry standard and is used on mars. but i dont think he was fully joking.
