Being the global reserve currency is hurts everyone in the USA except our banker/investor class. Our exports are too expensive and our imports subsidized by money printing. Every foreigner exports garbage to us (because our manufacturing is priced out of the market) and takes their profits to buy up American land, American companies, any American assets they can get their hands on. Soon half our country will be owned by foreigners and the other half owned by the Fed

Giving up fiat dollar global reserve status and returning to a metallic standard will be greatly beneficial to us across most sectors, except our banker class has too much to lose to give that up without a fight. Keep in mind the Federal Reserve is a privately owned bank with a government charter. It's ownership is claimed to be distributed among all member banks but has never been published. In fact the following section is included in the Fed's charter:

>After all necessary expenses of a Federal reserve bank have been paid or provided for, the stockholders shall be entitled to receive an annual dividend of six per centum on the paid-in capital stock, which dividend shall be cumulative. After the aforesaid dividend claims have been fully met, the net earnings shall be paid to the United States ...

However the Fed has never been Audited in detail, and no one knows if it's paying the full remainder to the US treasury after paying its own "shareholders". We also know during this year's bailouts, the Fed purchased corporate bonds of highly profitable companies that are in no financial trouble, such as Apple.

Now why would the Fed "bail out" successful companies unless it's a profit seeking organization looking to optimize it's profit & loss ratios. And now the Fed wants to buy out the rest of America
