i am a complete layman when it comes to business and stuff, aside from the fact that i started tiny little companies that worked well enough and i sold them to the richest member of my company and left it to start new ones.
now this all worked well and all as long as i lived in a city that was rich as fuck because even if my job ideas were bad, people still had the money to waste money on me and they definitely did so. but now things have changed. i had to move to my wife's shithole of a village and everyone is poor as fuck here. there are a handful of wealthy people here and the whole village's economy is based around that. first of all the 2 restaurants and ice cream shops, a museum (it sucks), the movie theatre that barely ever plays anything, the loads of fashion stores and so on and so forth and i'd even bet that by far most of the taxes come from them which is needed to build concrete fucking roads (yes, we still have medieval fucking dirt and rock roads). and by a little bit of a stretch, even the butchery, supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and hairdresser and so on live from these rich people, because everyone else that goes there mostly gets their money off of selling goods and services to these rich people, and yes, even the fucking peasants working the fields. noone fucking exports shit from here. definitely not the car sales and repair men and all that crap.
