I see a lot of anons talking about how the next bullrun will be about utility and web3 but what even is web3? From the "dapps" i've seen none have been decentralised. All centrally hosted and controlled. How is this decentralised exactly?
Contrast this to things like the fediverse which actually is decentralised. Anyone can host a peertube, mastodon, matrix instance and connect to other instances to help host their content.
Another example is zeronet which is more like crypto in that it uses private keys instead of usernames and passwords. It is also decentralised and entirely peer-to-peer.
In my opinion cryptocurrencies should be focusing on being scalable and actually usable for commerce rather than this faux innovation that so many like to push
