I work as tech/client support at Fiserv, taking calls from business owners, managers, and automated fuel pump technicians. We're a credit card processing network; we see the transactions and card info, set up certain entitlements, etc. I have it easy compared to other departments, they deal with customers and cardholders who are frequently more irate. I'm an Escalations Specialist now, so I take supervisor calls which occasionally get heated, but it doesn't compare to what I overhear of agents in other departments. I still feel soulless on a daily basis.

The one amusing call I remember was from somebody who immediately started a long racist tirade about hanging up whenever the agent sounded black, how he's tired of getting black agents and was glad I got his call, then said he isn't racist. His accent was Hispanic.
