Honestly, I have no idea, except that they're intentionally suppressing the price. They're not only dumping hundreds of millions on the open market, creating massive sell walls that can't be breached by retail investors, but they're also using their massive BTC holdings to suppress it. Every time XRP tries to decouple, BTC suddenly dumps (see picrel), and this has happened constantly. Ripple is also buying XRP from the open market judging by their quarterly reports. I don't know why they're doing that if they're dumping XRP from the escrow anyway, but they do buy about 84% of all XRP they're dumping. Honestly, XRP has fundamentals, but this price action is nonsensical. I don't even know what the point of all this is. It feels like some 7D chess that I just can't comprehend because why on earth would a company that holds billions of coins not want the price to go higher?

It's disruptive technology that reduces middleman fees, which are substantial, so naturally, banks might oppose it. There was a panel with Garry, where it was mentioned that first they sue you, then they join you, or something along those lines.

It's because the price is manipulated, not only using bots but also using Bitcoin. Every time XRP tried to break out, BTC dumped at the same minute. As I wrote earlier, my theory is that they're buying XRP from the market, and if prices were too high, they simply couldn't afford it. I don't have any other theory for price suppression. If they wanted "you out," they'd push XRP to 5 dollars, and 80% of holders would sell their bags and feel relieved.
