I'm studying for this financial statement analysis class and I have a quick question:

it has to do with how finding out the remaining life of PPE by using this formula: 1- (Accumulated depreciation/PPE).

However, there is no PPE on the balance sheet. There is fixed assets though, is that just a different name for PPE?
all non current assets listed are as follows:

Fixed Assets
Investment Properties
Goodwill and Intangible Assets
Deferred Income Taxes
Security Deposits
Franchise Loans Receivable
Other Assets

Would investment properties be considered PPE?
