Look up type 1, 2, and 3 muscle tissues.

Basically, you should strength train on compound movements (squat, deadlift, bench, pull up) and hypertrophy train isolation movements (8-12 reps+). because of the way your muscles genetically respond to different stressors. For example, you can hit abs and calves almost every day due to the muscle tissue being biologically designed for aerobic stress and prolonged use, whereas your pecs are more designed for burst power.

Quads/Hammies are truly the master race of muscle tissues, being capable all endurance, strength, and hypertrophy training stressors.
