Nothing is being speed runned.
Btc I'd going up in anticipation of the halving in April and due to institutional btc ETFs.
There are also concerns by funds managers that rates will pivot downwards, concerns a global financial crisis (historically rates pivots precipitate a global downturn). Fund managers are increasingly adopting the argument that BTC is a safe haven asset that can insulate portfolios from economic downturn. Although this did not happen in 2020, in 2020 there wasn't btc ETFs. Now there is.
As institutions buy btc, it drag the alt market upwards in USD terms.
However, it's also possible there will be a blow off top in crypto at least momentarily. As the halving approaches a couple months before and after, are often bearish for btc (buy rumor of halving, sell the news), which shakes weak hands.
